Queensborough closes $7.1 million in PPP loans
Queensborough National Bank & Trust has quickly helped small communities by closing Payment Protection Program loans.
The Payment Protection Program loans are designed to help businesses continue to pay their employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Queensborough has already authorized $7.1 million, including more than $2.25 million in Candler County alone, and began funding those authorizations on April 10. There are still over $100 million in loans to be funded.
“With the concern and uncertainty caused by the coronavirus in our communities, Queensborough took the lead in helping our business customers in applying for the SBA Paycheck Protection Program. I am proud to be a part of a team who realizes the importance of being able to react in a prompt manner to the changing needs of our customers, and the communities we serve,” said Dennis Allen, Metter Market President.
