Queensborough National Bank & Trust Company is proud to announce its plans to relocate to a new branch building after the current branch sustained significant water and smoke damage caused by a fire at a neighboring property. The plans include purchasing and renovating a former bank building located at 205 South Lewis St.
“This has been an especially tough time for our community, with the recent hurricane causing storm damage and now the loss of four businesses in the downtown fire,” said Erica Allen, Queensborough Branch Manager. “It was important to us that we restored services as quickly as possible after the storm, and it’s just as important now, after the fire. We want to ensure that our customers—both businesses and individuals—have access to the banking services they need as we all work to rebuild.”
The downtown branch is currently unable to reopen safely, but the ATM is open and available for cash withdrawals as well as cash and check deposits. The bank remains committed to serving the people of Metter through this transition period. Drive-thru service is already available at the South Lewis St. property for customers to make deposits, cash checks, make loan payments and other transactions. Branch hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 AM to 4 PM and Fridays 9 AM to 5 PM.
Queensborough has been a part of the Metter community since 2001 and looks forward to a bright future serving the people of Metter in this new space.
