Adam Harris Promoted to Augusta Region President, Senior Lending Officer

Queensborough is pleased to announce the promotion of Adam Harris to the position of Augusta Region President and Senior Lending Officer. Harris boasts nearly 25 years of experience in banking, including 19 years of dedicated service with Queensborough.

A proud alumnus of the University of Georgia, Harris commenced his banking career in 2000, before joining Queensborough Bank in 2005 as a commercial lender. His dedication and diligence were evident as he pursued further education, graduating from the LSU Graduate School of Banking in 2008. Over the years, Harris’s exceptional performance and leadership qualities propelled him to an appointment as Augusta Regional Manager. Throughout his 10-year tenure as Augusta Regional Manager, Harris oversaw the bank’s growth to over $1 billion in assets in the Augusta region.

In his new role, Harris will oversee a team of Regional Managers who will be responsible for leading the bank in the following markets: Augusta, Evans, Martinez, Grovetown, Hephzibah, Thomson, Wrens, Louisville, Wadley, Waynesboro, Sandersville, and Columbia, SC.

Beyond his professional achievements, Harris has a history of community involvement with organizations such as the Red Cross, where he served on the board from 2005 to 2014, including a tenure as Board Chairman in 2013. Additionally, Harris dedicated his time and expertise to the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, serving on its Board of Directors from 2017 to 2022. He has been a steadfast volunteer for numerous non-profits in the CSRA for over two decades and has been an active member of Warren Baptist Church since 1998, where he served on the finance committee.

Reflecting on his promotion and the future of Queensborough in Augusta, Harris expressed his gratitude and excitement, stating, "I am so proud to be a part of the management team of Queensborough and its extremely bright future here in Augusta. It is truly an honor for me to lead my hometown’s community bank. We have been focused on growing our bank one relationship at a time since 1902, and we plan to continue that tradition for decades to come.”

Harris and his wife Ashley reside in Columbia County and have three daughters Macy, Cara Anne, and Wiley.

Queensborough congratulates Adam Harris on his well-deserved promotion and looks forward to continued growth and success under his leadership in the Augusta region.
